Ideas
Let a child choose the colours
The first page of every PDF is the toy without colour, with a box for each yarn under it. A child colours it and writes the colours down, and you crochet the toy in exactly those.
Sign the gift card
Each PDF has two gift cards with lines for who it is for, who made it, the date and the toy’s name. Tie one to the toy and the gift is remembered.
Give the toy a name
The gift card has a line just for the toy’s name. Let the child choose it, and the toy becomes theirs.
Give the page with the toy
Put the toy’s colouring page in with the finished toy: the child colours their own friend and finds it in the picture.
Colour while you crochet
A child colours the same toy that is growing in your hands. One evening, the two of you, one toy.
For a class, a club or a party
Print a few copies. The answers are in the PDF, so children can check their own pages.
Check your leftovers first
Colour the toy online in the yarn you have. Under the picture you see how many metres of each colour it takes.
Let them choose
Colour the toy online and send the link: it opens those exact colours. They can change them and send theirs back.
