Privacy
I am Anastasia Marchenko, an individual entrepreneur registered in Ukraine, and I am responsible for what this site keeps about you. Write to me at hello@faunula.com about anything on this page.
Reading the site
Visits are counted with Umami, which uses no cookies, stores no personal data and cannot recognise you: I see how many people came, from where, and which visits ended in a purchase, never who. Cloudflare serves the site and keeps short technical logs to run and protect it.
What the site keeps in your browser
Nothing for advertising or tracking, which is why the site never asks for your consent. Only what a feature you use needs:
- the rounds you tick on a pattern, kept in your browser and never sent to me;
- a cookie that keeps you signed in to your library for 30 days after you open the link I send;
- a security cookie Cloudflare may set to tell people from bots;
- the Paddle checkout’s own cookies, while you pay.
Subscribing
When you subscribe, I keep your email address, the language and page you subscribed from, the country your connection came from (not your IP address), and the wording you agreed to and when. Each later subscription, library request or purchase updates the language and the country, so that my emails reach you in the language you last used. Your address goes to Sender, the newsletter service, only after you open the link I send. If you do not confirm through it within 30 days, your address is deleted. You can also subscribe by ticking the box in the checkout when you buy; then the link in your purchase email confirms it. I record which PDFs you download from your library. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing never takes back a PDF you already have. I keep this for as long as you stay subscribed; it rests on your consent.
Buying
Paddle, my online reseller, takes the payment, charges any tax and keeps your payment details under its own privacy notice. I receive your email address, the country of your billing address and what you bought; I keep the language of the page you bought from, so that my emails reach you in it, and I record the files you download, so that I can give you your patterns and answer a refund request. I keep this for as long as your library is open to you.
Writing to me
When you email me, your message and your address stay in my inbox, so that I can answer and find our conversation again.
Who helps me
- Cloudflare serves the site, stores the pattern files and checks forms for spam.
- Umami counts visits.
- Sender sends the newsletter.
- Resend sends your library links.
- Paddle is my reseller and the merchant of record: it handles the payment, tax, receipt and any refund.
I run Faunula from Ukraine, and these services may process your data in other countries, including the United States. Where the law asks for it, they do so under the EU standard contractual clauses in their data-processing terms.
Your rights
You can ask what I keep about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, or withdraw your consent, by writing to hello@faunula.com. Deleting removes your address from my records and from Sender; after that I can no longer send you your files. You can also complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
